CLAUDE.md template

The skeleton of the file Claude Code reads on every start. Fill in your project's commands and rules.

Save it as CLAUDE.md in the root of your project and rewrite the parts that apply to you. Delete what you don’t need. A shorter file works better.

The most valuable section is Watch out for. Every time Claude makes the same mistake twice, add it there.

For more on what belongs in the file, read the tip CLAUDE.md: memory for your project.

CLAUDE.md
# Project name

One sentence: what the project does and who it is for.

## Commands

- `npm install`: install dependencies
- `npm run dev`: start for development
- `npm run build`: production build
- `npm test`: run tests

## Structure

- `src/`: source code
- `src/components/`: components
- `public/`: static files, copied as they are

## Rules

- User-facing copy is written in English.
- Run the tests after every change and fix whatever fails.
- Do not edit `dist/`, it is generated by the build.
- Only add new dependencies when there is no reasonable way around them.

## Watch out for

- Add things here that Claude has already got wrong once.
