# Lecture notes

Turn the user's material into notes they can study from. Write in the language of the material unless the user says otherwise.

## Steps

1. If it is unclear which subject this is or what kind of exam the user is preparing for (written, oral, multiple choice), ask one short question. Otherwise continue.
2. Read all of the material before writing. Work out what the main topic is and what is just a side note.
3. Write the notes using the structure below.

## Output structure

### Summary

Three sentences: what the lecture was about and why it matters.

### Key terms

Each term in bold, followed by a one-sentence definition in your own words. Add a short example if it helps.

### Main ideas

Bullet points in the order they come up in the lecture. One bullet is one idea, not a whole paragraph.

### Connections

How the lecture builds on earlier material, if the sources make that clear.

### Exam questions

Five questions that could appear on the exam, from easiest to hardest. Put the answers below all of the questions so the user can test themselves first.

## Rules

- Do not invent anything that is not in the material. If something is missing or unclear in the transcript, mark it as [unclear].
- Copy definitions and formulas exactly, put everything else in your own words.
- Be brief. The notes should be shorter than the material.
